چکیده
BackgroundStereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) is a treatment option for patients with lung tumors that employs fiducials to track during the breathing cycle. Currently, there paucity of data on how relative fiducial location and patient clinical characteristics impact tracking outcomes. This study aims identify factors reduce number tracked respiratory motion management SABR.MethodsAn IRB approved retrospective review was performed receiving robotic SABR at our institution from 2016 2019. Clinical including demographics, medical history, follow up were collected. Fiducials geometries obtained Velocity contouring software MATLAB. Chi-Square, t-test, Mann-Whitney-U tests completed using MedCalc.Results73 77 treatments identified. Chi-Square analysis revealed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) associated having Three or more (p=0.034). Tumors in lower lobes higher rates uncertainty errors (p=0.015). The had no local tumor control overall survival median 36 month up. 28 centroid available geometric analysis. most common rigid body error (RBE) (57%) spacing (36.4%). Spacing shorter average minimum inter-fiducial distance versus non-spacing (1.0 cm vs 1.7 cm, respectively, p = 0.017). RBE longer maximum non-RBE (4.0 3.0 0.022).ConclusionGreater can contribute certain prevent being tracked. Maintaining between experimentally determined guidelines may limit RBE's, two errors. Increased set result stronger correlations

Image-Guided Robotic Stereotactic Radiation Therapy with Fiducial-Free Tumor Tracking for Lung Cancer
PURPOSE Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for early-stage lung cancer can be achieved with several methods: respiratory gating, body frame, or real-time target and motion tracking. Two target tracking methods are currently available with the CyberKnife® System: the first one, fiducial tracking, requires the use of radio-opaque markers implanted near or inside the tumor, while the other...
متن کاملClinical outcome of hypofractionated breath-hold image-guided SABR of primary lung tumors and lung metastases
BACKGROUND Stereotactic Ablative RadioTherapy (SABR) of lung tumors/metastases has been shown to be an effective treatment modality with low toxicity. Outcome and toxicity were retrospectively evaluated in a unique single-institution cohort treated with intensity-modulated image-guided breath-hold SABR (igSABR) without external immobilization. The dose-response relationship is analyzed based on...
متن کاملFactors that affect normal lung function in white Australian adults.
STUDY OBJECTIVE To classify abnormal lung function in epidemiologic studies, we first calculated "normal" values using data from Australian white adults. We then examined the effects of airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR), respiratory symptoms, current and past asthma, and current smoking on spirometric function. METHODS A large random sample of 1,527 adults aged 18 to 73 years was studied. We m...
متن کاملSU-E-J-40: Lung Lesion Tracking Using Fixed-Spaced Non-Migrating Fiducial Markers in Robotic Radiosurgery.
PURPOSE With lung lesion treatment being a major indication of the use of the CyberKnife (CK) robotic radiosurgery system (Accuray Inc, Sunnyvale, CA), the ability for the CK's stereoscopic kV imaging system to accurately track implanted fiducial markers becomes vital in the accurate delivery of therapeutic radiation. This study examines a novel fixed-space fiducial marker delivery system which...
متن کاملMulti-Ring Fiducial Systems for Scalable Fiducial-Tracking Augmented Reality
In augmented reality (AR), a user can see a virtual world as well as the real world. To avoid registration problems between the virtual world and the real world, the user’s viewing pose in both worlds should be kept the same. Fiducial-tracking AR is an attractive approach to the registration problem. However, most of the developed fiducialtracking AR systems have restricted workspaces. To provi...
